Mr. Sullivant

I am happy to say that I am going into my 25th year of teaching.  This is my 23rd year in the Escondido Union School District. Starting at Rose Elementary I worked as a 4th grade teacher for 7 years. Then I moved onto Lincoln Elementary teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades with a year as the school's Math Coach.  Seven years ago I came to the best school, Juniper Elementary, and  this year looks ever so bright!

I have attended several colleges.  Beginning at El Camino College in Los Angeles, I graduated with his Associates of Arts degree in Geography.  I continued my education at San Jose State University earning a Bachelors degree in Physical Geography.  Later, I attended California State University, San Marcos to earn my Multiply Subject CLAD K-8 Teaching Credential.  Ever striving to learn more I have taken classes at the University of San Diego and Palomar College.

Prior to teaching, I worked at the U.S. Geological Survey and at NASA/Ames Research center as a Physical Scientist.  After moving to Escondido I followed my dream and started my education to become a teacher.  The BEST job in the world!

I have two fantastic children!  My son is 30 and is a graduate of the University of California, Riverside.  He earned his Bachelors Degree in Biological Sciences with an emphasis in Botany.  My daughter is 27 and has earned her Bachelors Degree in Psychology at BIOLA University.  She worked as a substitute teacher working mostly here at Juniper. Eventually she went on to study Nursing at National University earning both an RN & BSN.  Lastly, I have a dog named Pepe.  Pepe did not go to college and has no plans of working...ever.
